The Ooni of Ife was in USA for the 41st Odunde festival 2016. The turn out was 500,00 plus. Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi  and other monarchs met up with fellow country men and spectators who attended the Annual Odunde festival. The King performed the Olokun Veneration ceremony on the Philadelphia bridge. He also stopped by New Jersey to meet with American law makers who honored him by presenting him the key to the city of Summerset, Franklin Township New Jersey. The presentation was done by Honourable Mayor Philip Kramer.

The Ooni is a Nigerian King form the Yoruba land of Ile ife.The Yoruba people are known as Omo Oodua. Which means children of Oodua.

King also means Oba or Ooni in the Yoruba culture in Nigeria
